- What is PranaStretch?
- "Prana" means breath
and vital energy (in Sanskrit). PranaStretch is a Yoga-based stretch
class that uses breath
to release tension, strengthen the inner core, and increase flexibility.
It is a non-competitive, total body "tune in" -- a
deeply strengthening yet profoundly relaxing workout.
The class is based on the work
of Eric BEELER who, during his life, taught "American Yoga"
to professional dancers in New York. It incorporates elements
from Yoga, PILATES, ALEXANDER and NIKLAUS Techniques. Ann has
redesigned the class so that anyone can enjoy and benefit from
it.
- What are the benefits?
- By letting go of tension, the
body begins to reclaim its flexibility, develop efficient core
strength and optimal alignment. The class gives you the time
and space to rediscover your center and listen to your body.
